RAJBHAS DIS

Panaji 25 - Every 4th February is being celebrated as "Rajbhas Dis" by Goa Konkani Akademi. This year the 'Rajbhas Dis' will be celebrated in co-ordination with Konkani Seva Kendra, Sankhali at Dada Borkar Hall, Sankhalim, Goa. The inauguration ceremony will be held at 10.00 a.m. at the hands of famous writer Shri Datta S. Naik at 10.30. A discussion on the topic "Antagonism and Literature" will take place, in which Shri Dilip Borkar, Shri Dharmanand Verenkar, Ms. Hema Naik, Ms. Sabina Martins, Shri Kashinath Naik, Shri Gopinath Gauns, and Shri Cosma Fernandes will participate, Prof. Bhushan Bhave will coordinate the proceedings.

At 3.30 p.m. there will be a programme by Konkani Seva Kendra, Sankhali, Goa.

The main function of "Rajbhasa Dis" will take place at 4.30 p.m. under the Chairmanship of Shri Pundalik Naik, President of Goa Konkani Akademi. This year's Sahitya Akademi Awardees N. Shivdas will be the chief guest. Ms. Irene Barros will be the special guest and Shri Sadanand Kanekar will be the guest of honour.

At 6.00 p.m. Konkani Gazal Geet singing programme 'Ghazal Rang' will be presented by Shri Ajay Naik and friends.
