Second Tiatr festival concluded at Neturlim – Sanguem

Panaji – 13/1/09 Second Konkanni Tiatr Mohotsov (festival) 2009 organised by Goa Konkani Akademi in collaboration with Konkani Machi Mogi and Neturlim Yuva Munch was held at Neturlim Dongri in Sanguem from 6th January to 11th January which concluded on Sunday after holding a one day seminar on Konkani Tiatr. Goa Konkani Akademi has been organizing such Tiatr festival of the prize winning and selective Tiatr as well as Konkani drama every year. The artists including writers, directors and other technicians participated in the discusson to weigh the pros and cons of the four tiatrs and one drama presented in the Tiatr Festival.

Observers appointed to give their comments included Shri Anand Panchawadkar, Shri Dayanad K Naik and Shri Joseph Cardoz. They all evaluated and made constructive criticism on the presentation of the Tiatr. The Tiiatrs which were presented included ‘Pull’’lam’ by Shri Alfredo Fernandes from Diwar, ‘Nattak’ by Shri John Dsilva a Konkani play ‘Aaah Bail Mhuje Mar’ by Shri Govind Raikar, ‘Dev Ani Dhorm’ by Shri Seby Fernandes and Shri Premand Polle and last show ‘Hem oshech choltolem’ presented by Poinnguinim Kala Krida Sanskritik  Mandal’s Mr R.B.S. Komarpant.

Shri N. Shivdas, President, Goa Konkani Akademi presided over the seminar. Konkani writer Shri Mahabaleshwar Sail was the chief guest. Earlier Shri Teotinio da Costa, President  Konkani Machi Mogi, Neturlim welcomed and compared the seminar. Last Dr. Jayanti Naik Asst. Secretary Goa Konkani Akademi proposed the vote of thanks.
