Goa Konkani Akademi to organise interaction with eminent Konkani writers on 7th Feb

Panaji 28th Jan 08- in order to commemorate 4^th Feb,08 the Official Language Day, Goa Konkani Akademi has organized a special programme on 7th Feb.2008 at the Black Box of Kala Academy, between 4.00 p.m. to 7. 00 p.m. The programme will be held in 2 sessions. At 4.00 p.m. Akademi has organized an interaction programme with eminent Konkani writers based in Mumbai i.e. Shri A.N. Mhambro and Smt. Sheela Kolambkar. Shri Mukesh Thali will compere the programme. At 5.30 p.m. 4 books published by Akademi will be released at the hands of Rt.Rev. Fr. Allywn Barretto, Bishop, Sindhadurg. Dr. Mohan Sangodkar, Registrar, Goa University will be the Guest of Honour for this programme.

 The books to be released at the function are 1. ‘Kombo Ghello Tarvar’ written by Shri A.N. Mhambro, 2. ‘Katha – Sheel’ by Smt. Sheela Kolambkar 3. ‘Arogyam Dhanasampradai’ by Dr. Anant Helekar 4. ‘Athara June’ by Dr.M.L. Sardessai. Shri Bharat Naik will speak on the above books at the occasion during this function.

Prizes will be distributed to the winners of the 6th Tiatre competition organized by the Akademi in this function and also Educational Scholarships for the academic year 2007- 08 will be presented to the selected candidates under categories such as B.A. M.A. & Ph.D. Shri Agnel Fernandes will compere the function. The programme is open to all.
