JOURNALISM WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS

Shri Mandar Phanse, an experienced young Journalist who has worked at National level in printed and audio-video media has been called by Goa Konkani Akademi to deliver the Key-note address in the workshop for students interested in taking journalism as career, which is to be held on 21st January 2006, at Art Gallery of Institute Menezes Braganza, Panaji.

Shri Mandar Phanse has done a special study on anthropology and is presently working as News Editor of famous T.V. channel N.D.T.V. He has been invited in different parts of the country to deliver special lectures on different subjects. He has also conducted many Workshops. As an individual he is keenly interested in kho-kho, long distance swimming and he is taking personal interest in farming. He has developed a farm house and he is instrumental in formation of Milk Producers Association in his village. In the above workshop Shri Sandesh Prabudessai, Editor of Sunaparant will present his paper on "Where and how to get New", Shri Rajtilak Naik, Photographer of Sunaparnat will present paper on "How Photo Journalism is different" and Shri Promod Acharya New paper and T.V. reporter will present a paper "Jam-Session".

After every session there will be an open discussion and the participants will get a chance to participate in the discussion. Akademi will provide writing material, refreshment and lunch to the participants. There is no entry fee for the workshop.

At the concluding session participants will be given certificates.
