Panaji: 15th Nov. Goa Konkani Akademi is organising a symposium on 20th November, 2005 at Conference Hall of Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda, between 10.00 am to 12.00 pm on the topic "The possiblity of creating 'Gazals' in Konkani"

Eminent Marathi musicologist and the father of Marathi Gazal has ( a form of lyric ) been invited by the Goa Konkani Akademi to inaugurate the symposium.

Although Akademi has specially invited certain persons who have worked on Konkani Gazals to participate in this programme, the programme is also kept open for the public, as stated by the Officials of Goa Konkani Akademi.
