Clarissa Vaz e Morenas Konkani Research fellowship of Goa Konkani Akademi was Awarded to Vishal Gurudas Sinai Khandeparkar.

The subject he has chosen is - " The terminology of Goan traditional occupations: A study". This was presented in a glittering function held at Kala Academy by Information Technology Minister Francisco D'Souza.

This research fellowship is offered by Zenaides Morenas primarily from Chandor village of Salcete taluka. He worked as a Admnistrative Officer in Uganda till 1970 and retired. But his love for his motherland Goa and mothertongue Konkani was ever growing. He wrote a book namely "Musall Dance of Chandor". 

The fellowship he has launched in Akademi is dedicated to the memory of his mother Clarissa. This scholarship is of Rs. 15,000 and it will be awarded every two years. Lot more research has to be in order to flourish and enrich various compartments of ever flowering Konkani language and this scholarship is a part in that mission.
